Any chance you might consider adding support for Perf+ to VeeCAD? This stuff looks pretty cool.

Welcome to the forum Tim

Thank you for informing me about the new Perf+ prototyping boards.

There is a program called "Perfy" made for use with Perf+. I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing it doesn't do netlist import or error tracing and checking. I doesn't yet support printing. https://github.com/Myndale/Perfy

VeeCAD has limitations that prevent it handling Perf+. I would have to build a special purpose Perf+ program, or build a universal program that can handle any board type without limitations. Both options are big projects requiring one to five years of work at my pace.

I wonder if Ben Wang's board idea willl endure? It seems to me that Perf+ is expensive and connections are tricky to visualise. When my life situation permits me to think of an ambitious CAD program, I'll certainly be thinking of Perf+ among other board types I can support. In the meantime, I appreciate hearing about any board patterns that are useful.
