Need help going from Eagle to Vee
Apr 30th, 2017 at 5:25pm

I really want to try veecad out but can't without the ability to import my netlist from eagle.

I am on the latest rev of eagle. 8.1.1 Free.
I followed the instruction from this page: http://veecad.com/editors.html

I created a ULP file, copied ULP script code into it, and executed from within my .brd file.
All it says afterwards is "VeeCad_gen2.ulp: finished Left-click & dragg to define group (or left-click to start defining a group polygon)"
If it has created a netlist for veecad, I don't know where it was saved. If I am forgetting something, please let me know.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, Neil.

You are looking for a .net file in the same folder as the other files Eagle generates for your project.

This user has created a document that might help. https://bigdanzblog.wordpress.com/2016/04/16/how-to-use-veecad-stripboard-editor... . The document also contains a simple method of building up libraries by re-using past projects as you go. Eventually you would want to grab all those library outlines and put them in a single library - but it's a good way to get started.

Hope that gets you moving again. If you are still stuck, or have any other questions, please post as often as required.
