A small bug (?) and a feature request
Feb 28th, 2008 at 2:22pm

Hello,

I've got a small issue to mention and a feature request:

1- Some schematic editors (Eagle and Proteus) name the pins on electrolytic capacitors + and - instead of giving them numbers. This causes problems for the Netlist Import as it seems to only accept numerical pin names (I've tested this with Protel and Tango import). It would be great if this could be looked in to.

2- I'm aware that you can add grid references on the side of the stripboard image when you copy it, but I think it would be great if you could also add grid references when you come to print your stripboard from VeeCAD.

Thanks

Hello Amr and Welcome!

Pin Names: I have written about this at http://veecad.com/resource/parts/cadsanity.html. I don't claim to to have all knowledge about this, so users are welcome to post on the subject!  Perhaps I can create a better library for users to make the numbers-only system more convenient.

Printing Rulers: I too would appreciate this feature and hope to add it.
