Error storing symbol into library ....
Aug 26th, 2019 at 10:31pm

Hello,
I try to create a new layout for a relay.
So in TinyCAD i am copying & modifying an existing relay (SPST) and try to edit the pinout + attach to a new outline freshly created in Veecad.
However, when trying to store, I got
"Error Storing symbol into library .... SQLITECANTOPEN".
Is that a known issue ?
Thanks,
Jacques

Welcome to the forum Jacques!

TinyCAD uses the sqlite3 database library to read and write the TCLIB library files. Sqlite3 returns the SQLITE_CANTOPEN error code when unable to open a file through the operating system. Looking online, I find some Linux Sqlite3 users have this problem due to lack of access rights to the file. On Windows I would check that the TCLIB file is located in a freely accessible location like Documents, and since you wish to modify the file, I would check that the file properties are not set to Read-only.

Hi
that was the problem indeed. I changed the protections on the files and was able to save my modified lib.
Thanks
